It’s a rough world out there on the web. Here’s some things to keep in mind, when your online matchmaking seems to be going nowhere.
Your optimism was almost as vast as an iceberg when you created your profile and started to outline all the things that makes you a fantastic person. Now it’s been some time and the experience isn’t quite matching your optimism.
We know it can be hard on your self-esteem when you aren’t receiving any replies or getting any matches. You have to keep in mind that Rome wasn’t build in a day. With this in mind, It can be dangerous to have extremely high expectation output-wise, when you begin your online matchmaking.
We use the word “journey” often on our site, and there’s a reason for that. Our great experience has taught us, that you don’t just create a profile and find your special one within a few weeks time. Of course it happens, but the majority of perfect matches takes a little longer than that.
You should look at your online matching experience as a journey or maybe even an adventure. You do not know what lies ahead and that should be a part of the charm in your experience. You will meet many different and exciting people in this journey towards the one and only.
You shouldn’t lose hope when you haven’t had any matches or messages the first week. Instead start being proactive about your journey After all, it lies in the word that you also have to be active, for the journey to actually be a journey, defined by the act of travelling from point A to point B.
You have a big role to play in your journey to match, as the person you’re meant to be with. Think of it as a maze where the two of you are starting in separate ends and have to go through the maze with all it’s dead ends and traps before finally finding each other.
If it keeps your spirit up, you can call yourself Indiana Jones or Lara Croft. Either way you should think of yourself as an adventurer seeking the only true treasure, which is love. No matter how hard it may seem at times, you will find it. You just have to keep a positive mindset.
